So that they are kept somehow.
“As I wrote in my introduction, I made this site mainly for my own amusement, and so that the things I run into every day in IT are kept somehow.”
My first blog post, 2010 (in Hungarian, translated)

Work trail
From survey to handover
- 2019-2021
Plant Update: moving an industrial control network to Ethernet
Migrating the PLC network of an industrial site to Ethernet in two phases: design, build, testing and documentation, with a crew of casual workers, scheduled around production shutdowns.
- 2019
Testing and fixing the cabling of a camera system at an industrial site
Live video minutes late, cameras dropping out. Wiring, instrument and software tests, a measurement report, then a cost-effective fix: a few cables replaced and the network redesigned.
- 2026
Quarry camera network with a radio backbone
Cameras, IP speakers and MikroTik radio bridges at a quarry, on 6 metre poles so that mining machines over 4 metres tall don't break the link. Design, build, documentation.
This is what I hand over (sample in Hungarian, fictitious company and data):

Each site got the standard jacket colour of a fibre patch cord. This one is orange, like OM1/OM2, the oldest multimode cable.
